What BAWF Does
Bath Animal Welfare Foundation helps find homes for abandoned dogs and cats. In cooperation with area veterinarians,
we share the cost of spaying and neutering these animals. We help provide emergency veterinary care for ill or
injured abandoned animals. In the past we have created a play yard at the county shelter so that each dog can be
let out for daily exercise. Periodically we place flyers and advertisements for adoption of these animals.
In addition, we sponsor manners classes and obedience training.

Administration and Support
BAWF is a not for profit tax-exempt corporation governed by a board of four directors. All activities are funded
by donations and fundraisers. In the future, annual membership dues will be a main source of support. In addition,
we will apply for grants from other non-profit foundations and government agencies in order to acquire property
and building funds. BAWF is run entirely by unpaid volunteers. Detailed statements, cash receipts and disbursements
are available upon request.

BAWF Values Your Help
You can help BAWF by: 1) Becoming a Friend of BAWF and making a contribution. 2) Offering your home as a foster
home for a dog or cat which might otherwise be put to death. 3) Helping with fundraisers. 4) Donating your expertise.
For example, we need volunteers with computer skills to assist in our office as well as help with telephoning
and transporting animals. 5) Donating to our spay-neuter fund. 6) Contacting us with ideas and offers for helping
the animals.
